What Makes Forest Honey Special?

Forest honey is one of the world’s most unique and prized honey varieties. Unlike traditional blossom honey, which is made from flower nectar, Black Forest Honey is created from honeydew — a naturally sweet substance produced by aphids feeding on tree sap in forest environments.

Bees collect this mineral-rich honeydew and transform it into a distinctive honey with a deeper flavour profile and naturally higher mineral content than many floral honeys. The result is a dark, aromatic honey treasured by honey lovers for its bold taste, exceptional quality, and authentic natural origin.

Whether enjoyed daily or gifted to someone special, Black Forest Honey brings the pure richness of the forest straight to your table.

Great Taste Award Review:

A pleasing, deep amber colour. There's good viscosity and an intriguing note of woodland in the aroma. On the palate, it starts quite sweet and winningly malty then some balancing acidity comes through. It has a short finish but, nonetheless, is a most enjoyable, all-purpose honey.

Low aroma, with a high sweetness initially, and a mild caramel flavour but nothing distinctive, and the texture was on the thin side. Whilst we appreciate the health benefits, they don't specifically relate to the flavour.

A deep coloured honey with a high viscosity, yet it still moves. The aroma is floral but oranges and caramel come out in the mouth. This honey offers balance against the sweetness and flavours continue to entrance in the aftertaste.
